Our Littlest Flower...Daisy
Last but not least we have our BABY-Daisy. She is 1 1/2 yrs old. She is our Jack Russell Terrier, if you didn't know. She is full of energy and lots of love. I call her my "Sugar" or our "White Fluff" or even better "The White Toranado". We got her last September when we started IVF. At that time I really needed some one to mother and she was perfect. The other two were so grown up now, it was like they didn't need me like that anymore. I was so excited when Dean agreed to getting her. She was the hairest little monster I have ever seen. When we saw her at the breeders she seemed so gentle and docile, but when we got her home it was another story. She was a giant ball of energy. We really thought that her and Bailey wouldn't get along ever. Then within a few days and lots of grouling and bitting, they became the best of friends. As for her and Lily. Well we all know that they is the "Princess" and the Ruler of the Clan, let's just say that Lily tolorates her. Here is a pic of Daisy when we first saw her at the breeders house. Daisy and Daddy...Love at first sight.

As you can tell, we really love our pooches. I know that Alicyn will have lots of fun with them all. We can't wait for Ali and I know the dogs can't either.

The next pic have to put in...here she is sleeping in the car after going to the pumpkin patch the first time last year. I love this picture.

This other pic is of her doing the "Wiener Dog". Mind you, we have a wiener dog that only kicks his legs out when he is sleep or stretching. It is almost that he is ashamed to do it. Our JRT does it all the time.

Our Little Man...
Next we have Bailey. He is our "Little Man". He is 8 yrs old and I got him as a gift from my Mom, when I graduated from Western Career College. We bought him from a breeder in Loomis. He was the most cutest thing I have ever seen. He had the biggest PUCKERS on his mouth. It looked like he had sucked a lemon for days. I do have to say that he is very candid. Here is a pic of him doing what he does best...EATING!
He also loves to sleep and follow me around all over the place. He is known as my "Shadow". He has always been like that. I love this next picture of him. This pic is of him in Ali's room. He loves going in her room. I think they will be great friends when she gets here.

Princess Lily...The Ruler of the Clan
I thought I would put some pics of the kids up. Our oldest is Lily. She is 10 yrs old. We got her a few months before we got married. I was working as a teacher for an after school program when a parent ask if I would like to have her. It was love at first sight. She was the tinniest thing I have ever seen. This pic is from when we first got her.

The next pic is a more recent one of what she looks like today. She is now the Princess of the Clan. She is such a Diva. In this picture she has a shirt on that Terri(She works with Dean) gave her. She is also talking, which is what she does quite a bit. She likes watching TV. She talks when there is ANY type of animal on.

Special Quilt Square from Ali's Pooches #24
Quilt Square #23 from the Surprise Girl Swap
This square and wish is from Rebecca and Doug Bryant. This is part of the Surprise Girl Swap I joined. Thank you. This makes #23. This is the most unique way we have had a square/wish come. It came in a clear envelope. When we got it I couldn't open it until we had a picture. It also had a Fortune Telling Fish in it. What a TREAT! We really love this one. Thank you so much.

No Update, just a little background.
People have asked us how we came up with her name
Alicyn Shea
We chose Alicyn to honor Dean's Grandma Alice Knight. She has always been supportive of Dean and welcomed Cyndi from the day they met. Alicyn is a variation of Alice. It means Noble and Truthful which we're sure she'll be. As for the spelling we chose it that way because it had "Cyn" in it. We wanted her to also have part of Cyndi's name. Also it is different.
We chose Shea because we like the way it sounded with Alicyn...Oh and by the way it also means 'Fairy Palace'...go figure. In case you didn't know, Cyndi is crazy about fairies.
We'll keep you updated as we get closer to her arrival. We EXPECT her sometime around February of 2008. Could be more, could be less, we hope it's the latter.
Kindly sign our guestbook .

Alicyn Shea's 100 Good Wishes Quilt
Alicyn Shea’s 100 Good Wishes Quilt
Hello Everyone!
Dean and I wanted to ask our family and friends to help out with a very special gift for our little girl. We are in the long process of adopting our baby girl from China: Alicyn Shea (insert Chinese name) James.
In Chinese culture there is a tradition called Bai Jia Bei or 100 Good Wishes Quilt. It is a custom to invite friends and family to contribute a patch of cloth with a wish for the baby on a separate piece of paper. Part of the cloth needs to be put on the wish. What we will do is take the fabric squares and make a quilt with that and the wishes will be put in a scrapbook with a piece of the fabric that matches it. This quilt will have the luck, energy, and good wishes from all our friends and families who contributed a piece of fabric to her quilt. This quilt will be able to be passed from generation to generation.
Here is what we would like you to do:
-Choose ANY 100% cotton fabric that you like.
-Cut ONE 8”x8” (at least) square from the fabric.
-Include your “good wish note”. Please add a spare piece of fabric along with your wish. This will be added to the scrapbook.
Ideas for selecting fabric squares:
*select a fabric that is meaningful to you.
*100% cotton fabric
*If there are several members in your family, please feel free to send more than 1 set of scraps. It would be so special to include good wishes from all members of your family.
Ideas for selecting good wishes note:
Well…what would you wish for a newborn child to have in her life? Some ideas that come to mind are good health, perseverance, compassion and sense of humor. Use that as a guide for your good wish note. Keep in mind that she will not see your note until she is older, of course. Also, please include a small piece of fabric on the wish.
Please email us for our address if you are interested. Thank you all for your help.
Cyndi and Dean :)
