Hello to all of our friends and family.
We have begun our journey to find our "Little Princess" from China. We were getting tired of saying 'her' and 'she' and 'baby' so we've decided on 'her' name. Alicyn Shea (Insert Chinese name here) James is out there somewhere. We have almost completed our stack of paperwork, and our Home Study is done. We'll soon be sending our documents to the Peoples Republic of China.
If you're wondering how long this will take...so are we! It's supposed to be 8 to 10 months from the time the paperwork is accepted by China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA). Our adoption agency (Harrahs AIM) stated that the time will most likely be 12 months. We've been trying for seven years to have a biological baby and recently found out that it's just not meant to be. We always knew in the back of our minds that we would adopt someday. That day is NOW.
